Why in the world would anyone take the time to post so many damn pictures of people just singing karaoke-month-after month after month?  

Pretty good question.  

To be honest, I started with these pictures as a kind of self-validation that what I was doing with my life was actually worth it... it seemed like all of the nights were kind of blurring together, and it made it hard to remember the individual moments and people, which are, of course what really makes these karaoke nights so special.  

But after a while the pictures and videos really became to be more than that; they are a time capsule of good times shared, a sort of crazy captain's log of our time together. It is easy to think that these times will last forever, that our nights out are just fun times that don't mean anything, but particularly in August each year, we are reminded just how fleeting all the good times can be.  

Graduations, Birthdays, people getting "real" jobs and leaving town. Just getting a day job that means you can't come out on your favorite night anymore. Even weddings, as joyous as they are, signify great change - and can create a sort of ripple effect thru the pond of our intertwined lives.   

Hopefully these pics can help make some of these good times stick in the subconscious just a little bit, and perhaps a couple of 'em will even become that most precious of long-term commodities - memories of truly good times shared.  

So get out whenever you can. Dance like no one is watching, sing like the world is listening, and love and laugh like there is no tomorrow.  

Life is what you make it, and you all are choosing to make it FUN, and are sharing that with some like minded people. I think the world is much better with karaoke in it.  

I dare anyone who looks at these pics to think otherwise.
